Come out and see us!
Who: National Solar Tour
What: Visit three dozen solar installation with in the City of Ypsilanti. This year’s tour will start at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse located at 100 Market Place in Ypsilanti's Historic Depot Town. SolarYpsi (SolarYpsi.org) founder, Dave Strenski, will be giving continuous solar presentations and answering any questions you might have. From there it's a short walk or drive to see many different examples of solar installations from 1kW on the roof of a small house to a 800kW in our local Highland Cemetery.
Who: Solar presentation at Cultivate in Ypsi
What: Thinking about solar power for your home or office? Come to Cultivate and learn about how it works and the economics of solar power. Pricing continue to drop and solar is more affordable then ever. Bring your power bill to get an estimate of what it would cost to be 100% solar power. Dave will have a list of solar contractors that can make it happen. Love Cultivate? Maybe we can figure out a way to fund a solar installation for their roof. Who: Solar presentation at Spark East in Ypsi
What: Many investors have asked about how they can invest part of their portfolio in renewable energy, specifically solar. Now's the chance to find out how this has been done in other communities! Join us in welcoming Dave Strenski with SolarYpsi and Robert Rafson with Chart House Energy
as they discuss how investors have been able to fund solar panel
installations on buildings owned by entities who can't benefit from the
tax credits, so they credits are instead passed on to investors. This
will be a great opportunity to ask your questions about solar
investments and to consider how these types of projects may be a fit for
your portfolio or your building.More details at (http://www.meetup.com/Southeast-Michigan-Community-Investors/events/234273640)
